I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
