La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It

We present a simplified version of a beverage from a new menu. This is a large-volume pre-mixed that's loaded with essence of a Christmas time, rendering it perfect for your celebration. Save the extra syrup you can use for morning drinks, puddings, or to mix another batch of bikinis.

Bikini Recipe

Makes enough for 10 guests

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Method

Making the Syrup: Place every ingredients inside a pan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the heat allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Decant into a sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to a month.

For the Cocktail Base: Mix every liquids in a big jug, allow it to infuse for an hour, then strain best through muslin, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Measure 85ml of your cocktail base to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and stir gently for one minute to cool it down. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries and finish with a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
